Dorothy Wilson
Meet Dorothy Wilson, a true TUSD treasure with 22 years of dedicated service to our district! After a distinguished teaching career that included 19 years at Lineweaver and two years at Cragin, Dorothy "retired" in 2020 – only to return three months later because she missed the magic of the school environment. Now in her fourth year managing the library and serving as a reading interventionist at Cragin Elementary School, she finds her greatest joy when a student falls in love with a story or when older students eagerly ask her to order the next book in a series. Originally from New Jersey and a Tucsonan for 30 years, Dorothy is also a talented semi-professional artist who has been honing her craft in weekly art classes for 11 years. You can even catch her beautiful work at her upcoming art show at Monterey Court this February! Dorothy’s lifelong commitment to literacy and her vibrant passion for the arts make her an absolute inspiration to the entire Cragin community.
